My career has included: running my own software development company; being a staff expert that included roles as an IT Director for a oil and gas company; to a consulting career at HP and then Microsoft. 

I've created innovative ways to ensure that strategy maps are fully executed, learned ways to increase developer productivity by more than 39%, and presented at over 20 industry and private events. In all of this, I've found that managing my time and accomplishing key goals is crucial. That's why managing your energy is vital - it's the source of life and success.

I wrote about successfully overcoming burnout in order to equip my team members to avoid burnout so they can achieve that high performance and successful and joyful work life. 

I find that avoidding burnout has been "the great accelerator" of productivity excellence for all the teams I've managed.

While the burnout I write about was very real, so was my complete recovery - and so was the broad array of accomplishments over the depth and breadth of my career. 

I've written extensive customer thought leadership papers and presented at industry events on topics including business-IT alignment through strategy and execution, IT Service Management, building technology organizations and software development.

I bring teams a depth of software engineering guidance that accelerates business results.

I bring teams 20+ years of Product Owner and Product Manager experience, delivering solid POPM capability personally and as a trainer and coach in ways that clearly  accelerate business results in adoption and growth through optimizing the flow of value.
